Our company is a Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) established by Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
We regard healthcare as “the foundation for general activities to achieve good health,” and are committed to creating new value for good health through investments in venture companies engaged in the healthcare field.

Ono Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has a history for more than 300 years since its founding, with a long-lasting history of challenges.
In 1968, Ono achived a world-first success as a public corporation, in total chemical synthesis of prostaglandin (PG), a bioactive lipid.
In 2014, 20 years after the basic research was started, Ono successfully launched “Opdivo,” an anti-PD-1 antibody, first in the world. Opdivo is contributing to the treatment of many cancer patients today.
Ono successfully overcame the difficulties faced owing to its culture of respecting originality, tolerating failure, and its long history of valuing open innovation in collaboration with external partners.
In 2022, as a further challenge, Ono launched the Ono Digital Health Investment, GK, which supports the growth of venture companies in the field of healthcare.
Both Ono, which has never stopped taking on challenges in its long history, and venture companies, which challenge the unknown, will work together to realize a society in which people can lead healthier lives.

We invest in venture companies engaged in the healthcare field, regardless of their business stage, location or investment ratio.
We are aiming to create new value through collaboration with Ono Pharmaceutical, its affiliates and our existing investees' partners.
As for investment in bio-venture companies, Ono Venture Investment, Inc., another Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) established by Ono Pharmaceutical, is responsible for the investment in the research and development field at Ono Pharmaceutical.
